For nearly twenty years Laiko has been collaborating with culinary creators on effective and strategic storytelling though three channels: media, marketing and social media. She got her start at Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, creating local and national culinary programs and working with some of the most respected women in the industry. In the twenty years she has been in communications, she has been an independent publicist, has worked for a mid-size agency, and led in-house PR for a culinary brand. Her industry involvement includes being on the marketing advisory committee for five years at CUESA, has been a Judge for the Good Food Awards for numerous years; and for the James Beard Foundation has been a three-time Dinner and Taste America event coordinator. She joined forces with Kristine Keefer in the summer of 2016, recognizing a partner who shares a philosophy on food, storytelling and client relationships. Laiko is a long time resident of the Fillmore neighborhood in San Francisco.

Kristine attributes her success in Restaurant PR to her kitchen training at some of the best restaurants and catering kitchens in the country, coupled with her many years building relationships with key food and wine press. She worked with Chef Thomas Keller at The French Laundry for over twelve years, developing its in-house Communications Department and spearheading publicity efforts for all TKRG restaurants. These invaluable experiences have given her the ability to think and speak knowledgeably on the chef’s behalf and become a trusted name in the industry. She started her own firm in 2014 with the goal of representing a select group of outstanding chefs, wineries and kitchen products throughout the Bay Area. She joined forces with Laiko Bahrs in the summer of 2016, recognizing a partner who shares a philosophy on food, storytelling and client relationships. Kristine lives in historic downtown Napa.

Martha has been passionate about food since she was four years old, standing on a stool stirring sauce in her aunt’s kitchen. This early interest in food brought Martha through culinary training and into several kitchens, including Jax Fish House in Boulder, Colorado, Delfina in San Francisco, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma and Tate Museum’s Event Kitchen in London, UK. While honing her skills in the kitchen, she studied for and received her MBA in London, a tool she used to exit the kitchen and enter the digital world. Over the past seven years Martha has worked in television as a digital content producer and has managed social media for companies large and small, including Laughing Glass Cocktails, New Barn and CamelBak.
